"stop the AI race" is the dumbest thing i've seen in years.

if you have energy to fight for a cause, amazing. but please aim it at the right target.

you can’t stop progress. full stop.

if the US decides to stop, China won't, Europe won't, Russia won't. nobody else will. they’ll just catch up and pass you.

and why should it be stopped, exactly?

if we’d “paused” progress decades ago, we wouldn’t have dishwashers, elevators, iPhones, printers, social media, or half the things making your life comfortable enough that you have time to protest in the first place.

the real fight is distribution, not progress.

AI will create a lot of winners: founders, employees, investors, people who learn how to use it early. they’ll make stupid amounts of money and leverage.

but a lot of people will get left behind. really far behind. that’s the part that actually scares me.

in a pure, no‑morals capitalist world, you can just not give a fuck and let the gap explode. but if you care even a bit about not sleepwalking into a hyper‑tribal, hyper‑unequal future, that’s where your energy should go.

you’re free to fight for whatever you want.

just make sure it’s actually a smart fight.

don’t get farmed by outrage media and career politicians who cash in on your anger.
